snopes claims arnold the pig from green acres was not eaten at the cast party. but, left it up in the air about babe the pig.
it was 95. we were all members of PETA. we all just had young kids. and, we all heard this. i believe it totally.
yes, when i raised a chipmunk and wanted to put her in commercials, i was told they need two of tiny creatures to make a commercial.
several piglets were used on babe. but no one went to babe2 cuz we all knew he was dead. i cannot quickly find a confirmation of same as computer is being: slowly i turn, step by step. (another vaudeville routine i learned somewhere. don't mind me.)

That's really creepy that Arnold the pig was eaten by his fellow workers at the farewell bbq of the show Green Acres. Arnold was a valuable member of the cast. Just because he was a pig was no reason to eat him.
I had fond memories of Green Acres, but not now. I hope the cannibals burn in hell! Forever!

This same rumor began circulating in 1995 about one or more of the pigs used in the title role of the then-current film Babe, which reportedly employed some four dozen different piglets to play Babe.
Sightings: In an episode of the television sitcom The Nanny ("The Bird's Nest," original air date 25 September 1996), a woman at a clearance sale fighting over a sweater with Grace Sheffield (the family's youngest daughter) says, "Hey, did you see the movie Babe, kid? Well, they ate him at the wrap party."
