I shot these last summer with a scope that is technically not suitable for astro imaging. I shoot what is known as narrowband imaging and wanted to push the optics to see what could be done. Narrowband resolves the scopes limitations for the most part. In an attempt to relieve what is termed 'optical pinch' I somehow slightly misaligned one of the lenses and don't have the equipment to calibrate the lens system so I'll dump these images here and say good bye to the scope. It did well but it's time to move on to a new optical train. Hopefully by mid July...

NERD ALERT!

Here's a 'First light' or test shot from a different image train than above. Telescope still needs quite a bit of work but getting close. Today fully disassembled again for Optics cleaning and alignment. While apart need to design, build n install dew control system. Should be ready to roll after that. Fingers crossed... This setup will be used to create high rez wide field shots in 1/5th the time compared with previous scope. Much more detail as well.
