Photographs Thread
ur thread has beaten out ttm2u even. well done.

i know. they hope to distract the men and get them to buy an inferior product.

i did see a new ad as well. i did some PR work for awhile. but, it was to law i was drawn.

so, i observe all these things.

actually, i grew up riding horses so i do notice the horse.

i hope he is treated well.

the good part about those commercials, is that we hear the music coming on first. and, whomever is nearer to the remote, just hits last channel.

consumers are not quite as stupid as the world assumes anymore. that commercial just screams: our product sucks so look at the woman and buy the damn TV mode. immediate gratification impulse buying i reckon.

however, the younger people, whom may have been prey to these types of commercials, all watch TV on computers.

as do i. and, i get to choose the commercials i would like. hulu plus. so cheap. (as in inexpensive. was not referring to the trollop.)

had to say it.

carry on with ur beautiful photography. i do believe we r the only forum of this nature that treasures beauty and art.

it rather speaks volumes about us. In a very positive way.

Thank you Ice. I wish I could take credit for having taken the pictures, but I can't. I did find them on the Internet. One day I will make to Alaska and spend a night just staring at The Northern Lights.

p.s. To Pops: Sorry Ice and I stole your lines about the girl. Well no, I'm not really sorry. I say nice things that I don't mean all the time just so people will like me. :-P

Dolphins....

zander: i shall always care deeply about u. u don't have to say nice things.

i hope u were joshing with us, my friend.

besides, i can edit out the bad things said. muahhhhh. power. oh, i am so kidding.

trust me, there is no power nor glory in running forums.

it is just a way i can meet people. help people.

i like u sooooooo big. (can't help it. a 2 1/2 yr old girl is living with her daddy, my landlord. picked her flowers today so she would not get wet in the storm. so, i am in mother mode.)

I love dolphins sooooo much. Once when I was bringing a 36 ft. sloop from England to Portugal a school of dolphins went by the boat I was sailing going the OTHER way.....about 50 yards from me......they turned around, caught up with me (easily), then they crisscrossed the bow of the boat, surfing and playing, riding the wave the sloop was creating....coming within one inch of the bow and they kept crisscrossing. I laid down on deck over the bowsprit.....I could have touched them...but I was just satisfied that they were playing so hard.....it was an astonishing experience. I can still see it in my mind like it was yesterday........it was so intentional and playful....when they tired of it.....they swam away, once again going in the OTHER direction......I was like a detour or recess for them.

Here's a bigger version of the same thing.

Took this one last night on the way home from California, at the Weed Rest Area off I-5.
Long night, my wife blacked out in the passenger seat a few minutes later after I had a strange feeling we needed to switch drivers.

I would have preferred a better hardware setup for this shot, but i think it turned out well for a 50mm portrait lens.
