what happened to the people....they were together on the bench, and now gone, kind of sad to me, but maybe they are off on an errand or chore or to figure something out, then will be back to the bench, looking out over the lovely scenery.

Wow Popster and Linville
Those autumn leaves were BEAUTIFUL. Beyond words to describe. My favorite colors too - the orangish-red color I always loved most as a child - almost like the tree was on fire. Thank you for wonderful beginning to my day. Hi Fireplaces! That was my thought, too. Everything prepared for when they returned from playing in the snow.

Yesterday, I did my 6.1 mile Redwood hike.....took me 5 hours because the forest offered me so many "gifts" that I had to linger in more places than I usually do.
On this hike, I acknowledge "waypoints", places I recognize, enjoy and experience mindfulness...they give me bearing. The first photo is my "IOP" waypoint.....I cannot pass this spot without thinking of all of you... The second photo may appear washed out and without merit....but the rays of the sun captured in this photo do justice to my experiences there....which are heavenly....

Popster, I understand. I have had special spots before. To linger and soak in the beauty and meditate and or reflect in clearing out messes of the mind and replace with something positive from the natural beauty that has been entered into by the hike or walk .....
Now I am needing one of those. I think I will have to find something closer to me . Hmmm Anyway , Popster thanks for sharing the photo's. And talking about them.
