Oh a memory about fireworks since you mentioned roman candle battle.

In the distant past, I knew someone who figured out how to use a lite cigarette to push a M-80 fuse into and it acted like a timer.
So that person had dangerous fun doing it.

although no one should do that and get hurt.

I can remember in the summer time spending all days at my buddies Dad’s work rec center.
Wow they hand a great pool.
and the arera was like a state park fishing boating camping fires etc.
But we hung out at the pool I learned how to swim at early age .
Mom took me to swim lessons, probably to get us kids out of her hair for a while.
LOL.
But my point is your diving for the beers reminded me how we would have contests diving in and staying under water until if we could make it to the other end before coming up for air.
I always loved the pools and lakes .
Ha one lake we would swim in the summer and ice skate in the winter , same lake.
well the high dive did get scary , ohhhhhhh
