Dylanisms

I like tambourine man very much myself. Very poetic. His last incarnation was on the travelling wilburys I believe. Now he tours and plays, and writes.

So many have died from my early days. I'm amazed the stones are still rocking. Soon as one of them kicks the bucket it will be time to quit. So many have gone already.

Hey Graniote, thanks for mentioning that.  I have both--I think it was only two--of the Travelling Willbury allbums.  They both featured all star casts including Tom Petty, Jeff Lynn, Bob, George Harrison and the first with the incomparable Roy Orbison.  Jeff Lynn from Electric Light Orchestra produced the Willburys and his orchestral touch was heard on their efforts.  Love the Wilburys.  Orbison's "Sky Surfer" on the first was one of the last chances to hear that guy just tear it up with his voice and style.

A lot of water under the bridge.
A lot of other stuff too.
Don't get up gentlemen,
I'm only passing through.

Forever Young
WRITTEN BY: BOB DYLAN
May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift; that’s why they call it the present.

From:  "I shall be free #10"

I gotta woman, she's so mean
She sticks my boots in the washing machine
Sticks me with buckshot when I'm nude
Puts bubblegum in my food
She's funny, wants my money, calls me honey.

From:  "I Shall Be Free" on The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.

Well, sometimes I might get drunk
Walk like a duck and smell like a skunk
Don't hurt me none, don't hurt my pride
'Cause I got my little lady right by my side
(She's a tryin' a hide pretendin'
She don't know me).
