Good morning all. Thanks to everyone who offered such kind words about our dead cat. Popster, I completely agree with you about having another animal but in our case, I already have two dogs and three more cats and I do it in numbers precisely because it is a little easier then when you inevitably lose one. Animals have much shorter lifespans and you know, when you get one, that you are likely to see it die in not-so-many years. I have always found it easier to go on when I have other pets I HAVE to carry  on caring for. But that doesn't mean it is ever easy to lose any one. I cry my eyes out and feel I have let them down when one of my goldfish dies, for goodness sake!  My heart is frequently broken but you have no choice but to keep functioning for the rest of the family.
My son is taking it badly though. He came home from school yesterday and didn't feel up to going today. That is a brand new pain for me, when previous animals died, he and his brother were too young to fully understand. 
Shayna, lovely to see you back again and I laughed so hard at the story about the vacuum cleaner. I didn't even know it was possible to vacuum a ceiling! Can he come and do mine when he is done please?

Man-0-Man.... That stuff really wakes you up fast (when you pour it on your leg..lol) Don't ask me how that happened, cause I'm not sure... Wasn't quite awake... But I am now!!

We need to keep our Charon in our thoughts and prayers... She has to be everywhere at once and even an angel has difficulty with a task like that.... Where would we all be without her... {{{shudder}}}... I don't even what to know....

Without Linville and Harley... The cafe' is different... Maybe a coat of paint would help.... Naw.... Nothing can replace our members... You know we are really luck this place even exists.... That's why the knotheads are beatin down our door... Wantin to ruin our beautiful place... But we all keep vigilant, we can squash those idiots before they get started good!!

Look... I'm gonna be like Pops and not run through a list-0-names cause inevidatly... Ineva... Scratch that.... Anyway I'll leave out a name or two... And y'all all are important to me and this forum...

Hope all is well as can be with your tradedy... I know cause I lost a Newfoundland dog some 10 years ago and that was best dog I've ever owned... Man I still miss ole Bear...

My vet told me the same thing about one of my cats......she has feline aid's.....I told him NO WAY.
Well she's living a good life with no signs of illness.......she's about 10 years old now and shows no sign of slowing down.....for many vets...life is cheap. Glad your starting over......that's the best remedy for a lost pet imo

Hello all, Just wanted to say to Rose i am sorry for your loss..I just lost my cat two month's ago so i can relate.The vet told me 13 year's ago to put samm cat down because he had feline aid's...I said hell no..she told me he wouldn't live long...Well he lived a good life and gave me great pleasure for all those year's..When you live alone you get really attached to them...Anyway i just got another one from the pound and so it start's all over....

Ahhhh the coffee's almost done... I can hear those last few chugs... Let me grab my cup... Brb...

Man..... That's goood stuff! Well the cig smokin has slowed to a crawl... Not quite quit, but I'm not gettin the all fired "cravings" I was gettin ... So maybe it's workin, even on me! I know I was going through appox 40 or sometimes even more, everyday... Yesterday... Maybe 6-7.. For me that's quite the drop... But I know even 1 of those "coffin nails" isn't good for nothin except keepin the Drs in business...

I just found out that this girl I've known since High School is in the hospital again... Now we never had a "thing" goin, she was always just a good friend... She's been havin trouble breathin (from cigs) and been on all kinds of stuff... Tues her partener found her slumped over on the potty not breathin... Ems got her resastated(sp) and to the hospital... Her lung had collasped and her heart quit for awhile... She's been out of it ever since... To me, it don't sound good... So if y'all would... Just say a little prayer for Charlotte.... She's a good soul...

Anywhoo... That's a dang good reason for me to qiut these cancer sticks!!

FP......yes, my same thoughts about feline aids......I trust veterinarians even less than Doctors.
Have another cat the vet says has a faulty heart and we shouldn't expect much........but he is so happy and healthy, the vet must be wrong........When we adopted him...the Vet listed him as Burmese......in fact he is Abyssinian and in NO way resembles a Burmese.....WTF...how did he graduate as a veterinarian.
