I wrote a joke for NY daily news contest. I was little. And it began with his words: Dang Me, cuz i would have been rougher. me mother spoke like a sailor when need be.

I won 25$. And i loved roger miller ever since. Not in a weird way. Thank u Ice.

My nieces have professions but also do acting. See many a play.

They introduced me to RENT.  It is a play about NYC bohemian East Side. Right when Aids was killing so many many people.

It breaks my heart.  Had a very very close friend. Worked on celeb hair. East Village. And then he was one of first to get AIDS.  We knew nothing about it.  Roberto Pardo died as a very early victim. No one would buy his fancy house cuz people thought AIDS was contagious through air borne means.

No, the days of woodstock and "free love" were long over.

I know this goes in talking area, but only i use this thread and i could not find it.

Rent, the movie and the songs and actors are glorious.  And RIP BJ Pardo. Your wife.  And all whom we have lost to AIDS.

Charon, I loved Rent.  Amazing.
Right now I am really into the second season of Pose on FX.  It takes place in the same time period (late 80s-early 90s) in the underground NYC Ball scene when Aids was just getting attention.  And the Genius Ryan Murphy has got Billy Porter from Kinky Boots as one of the main characters!
