I hope you mean that in a loving way.

For me @Nonoo my  goal from the time my son was born was to equip him to live lovingly and to grow into a man that would one day be my friend (hopefully) and find his own path, whatever it was to be and is at the moment.

I don't want him to feel he owes me anything.

The song touched me because he knows my story; orphaned, abused and discarded by both my country and myself.

I wanted to teach him to love himself and to forgive his mistakes and look at them as lessons to do it differently the next time.

And to know, that even when I leave this plane (pass away) I will always be with him. 

He is an adult and free to choose and I respect his choices which have been many and surprising at times.

He is a very excellent person.

I hope you've had that instilled as well.  I missed that, so that part of the song where it says 'cure you of disease' he means my struggle with identity.

I reckon I just wrote WWWWAAAAYYYY too much.

CL, I like the lyrics of the song by 21 Pilots, but why are the singers cut in half do you think?

I couldn't tell you.  I supposed artist license to demonstrate that he and she are one 1/2 of each other and the effort it takes to raise a child and the child's effort to bring their mother the same love back ?Love.  Or just for effect.  Only they know. 

But it's cool anyhow.
