What an interesting thread and really opened up my paranoia!
It does look like a VPN is the way to go, last used one on a trip to Asia so I could still get Netflix but could be well worth a few bucks a month for some piece of mind.
My current "security' is a computer my other half does not use and an email address she is not aware of. I clearly need to add a few things to that list!
