Sports- Major League BaseBall- Scores & Talk
#12
Interesting...the Cubs were requiring physical tickets for all games at the start of this season (including the spring training games in AZ).  It wasn't until around his date in April that they started allowing mobile delivery through the MLB app.  Wrigley gates are probably the most difficult staff to deal with as of this season as the moment they feel your ticket is not valid, before any further investigation, I've seen fans get a quick INVALID stamp on all of their tickets should one fail to work for entry.  It's what they've been instructed to do.   The box office will hear zero complaints as well.  Get too boisterous at Wrigley and you'll find yourself removed promptly.  They are not playing any games with ticketing (no pun intended, really).

This being said his story is plausible because I'm pretty sure he's within the date that they started allowing mobile barcode entry into the park.  Difficult situation as the guy is a life long fan but obviously at one point was a hazard for nearby fans as well as a player within earshot.

Good PR would be to give him a set of tickets for the rest of the season.  Yeah the team is higher demand than it has been for a while however I can attest to the fact that they're not selling out every game this season (at least not so far).
