How else do we manage?

Nah man good advice. I think it's just a need for constant stimulation and sometimes the daily grind gets ya. But yeah I'll talk to the doc. Got an appt later this week.

I can feel you on the need for stimulation.  I had a really good life and hobbies that kept my depression at bay Bc I was so busy. Moved away with a girl. Friends moved acros the country during that time. Came back home when relationship ended to no friends and no idea what to do with myself except live in my head and let depression eat me alive. 

Reading helps. Never did it before. Read rich dad pot dad first since it's about life and useful info but trying to also read for recreation. 

The gym has been my biggest ally. Always new stuff to read about. Don't need someone else to go but if you have a partner or make friends there it's even better. Plus self esteem goes up.  And I've made outside friends too. "Hey we're All meant heads wanna go drive adult go karts sometime?"  

Being possibly bipolar is tough though. On bad days I'll want to impulse spend to keep busy. Buy a new expensive guitar only to not touch it a week later. Go on a shopping spree to keep busy. Hit a casino. So my advice is engage in free things. Riding a bike, going somewhere social etc. don't rely on spending money at first to keep you busy. If it's a real interest eventually go ahead but tread lightly first
