Never exaggerate symptoms. It makes it harder for people with real problems to get the help they need. But stand your ground. Don't get rude with a doctor but keep firm with what you believe that works. If not ask them to kindly send you to someone that can treat your condition more effectively. They are obligated to do so. They will make you feel like scum while doing it. But don't pay them no mind. You are your own advocate. Doctors are playing with fire these days and sadly the patients are the ones getting burned.

Hello Solarpunch, Glad to see you in the forums. You did make a very good point that only you know your body. You are also correct that you are you only advocate! A lot of people hold doctors in such high regard that they are intimidated by them.  I indeed do feel anxiety when I go to the doctor because I am getting the meds I need now, but it is very worrisome that they can be taken away at any time even if you do nothing wrong. Sadly that is the world we live in now. But you did make a very good point  of being your own advocate. i will certainty keep that in mind next time i go.
