Something to look for if you are going for a taper with very small steps, is whether the diazepam has a split/break line on it. Medication that is designed to be broken in half has the active ingredient more evenly distributed in the pill. Pills that are not intended to be snapped in half do not necessarily have to conform to the same standards when it comes to distribution of active ingredient within the pill. The majority of diazepam pills do have a break line, but not all. This is also a good reason to stay away from bathtub "street" diazepam, and if possible stick with the same source/manufacturer throughout.
