Can animals see colors?
To see in full color as we know it, humans use three cones – red, blue and green. However cats and dogs only have blue and green cones. This means they have a much more muted perception of color, which is akin to colour blindness in humans. (So, not just black and white, though Mexican fighting bulls can see red because they have been stuck with those large darts by picadors.)
What does a camel store inside its hump?
Camels do not store water in their humps, as it is commonly believed. The humps are actually reservoirs of fatty tissue. Concentrating body fat in their humps minimizes heat-trapping insulation throughout the rest of their body, which may be an adaptation to living in hot climates.
