I hope I don't seem to be preaching to anyone with the animal posts.  I just love them to pieces & I hate to see any kind of abuse.

Something that concerns me is that our local animal shelters are reporting an upswing in pet adoptions since this coronavirus began.  Normally, that would be a very good thing & it is.  But many are adopting pets because they are laid off at home & they're bored.  But the concern is what happens to that animal when life gets back to normal?  Everybody goes back to work or school & I worry what happens to the pet?  Shelters here in upstate NY are aware of this & they're taking steps to make sure people realize what they're getting into.  But private sales & adoptions are also going up too.  I wonder about those animals.  And springtime is kitten season so lots of cute kittens are looking for homes. 

I just hope people stop & think before they bring a pet into their home during such stressful times......
