Working from home?
#41
Agreed. We went from 100% remote to now we want bodies back in the office. Its hard to make people pivot like that mentally and emotionally. Also the rise in cases plus variants dont make me want to rush back to the office.

I work from home fulltime other than when I need to update a security patch on the computer I have to go in. If you can be just as productive from home then I don't see a problem with it.

Wouldn't that be revealed by their "output" (for lack of a better word), in terms of what their job requires them to do? If they've worked hard that should show itself in their work, if not then I'd expect that to be equally obvious. I guess the only thing is that with certain jobs it might not be immediately obvious, but I have no doubt laziness will catch up with people.

My employer seems to be going for a hybrid model - work wherever it makes most sense. However my direct line manager doesn't really believe in working from home (!) so I suspect I won't be able to work from home more than one day a week. Even then I expect he'll quiz me on what I'm doing and why it's better to do from home. He has prior form as a bully. :-(

I can definitely relate. I try to get outside as much as possible. The fresh air and Vitamin D from the sun seems to help. Also, like others have mentioned, try to find ways to laugh. Not sure Instagram is the best place to look but whatever gets you laughing, go for it.

I tried the whole work form home thing. I went out of my tree. The anxiety buildup hit me in a matter of days! I’ll stick to working outside of the home!

Hi Kg300

I can’t believe it’s been over two years that I’ve been working from home. I’ll be in the office several times a week end of july because we have a lot of projects. Im kind of looking forward to that time to just change my mundane routine I have going on right now. I dread the 5 AM wake up call but i guess i have to take the good w the bad! I do get anxious riding public transport.
