Val Kilmer should be on that list. He refuses to learn lines and doesn't like to be directed.
Justin Bieber is another candidate. It seems to be an almost inherent problem with child stars as they grow up.
Elton John was a nightmare, by his own admission, until he dealt with his drink and drug problems. Now he is famous for helping other "troubled" stars sort themselves out. His autobiography is actually rather good. It's good to know people can change.
