RE: COVID - helping others - masterthief03 - 02-23-2021 I'm happy some people are talking about this (our wonderful admins created this board and it kind if feels like a "How can we help with anything medically related") so to see some just share their stories is cathartic at least for me. Just want to remind everyone knowledge is power, and heard on the news about more teen suicide. Point is, my inbox us open to ALL and just sharing on this thread is, if that's all one wants, encouraged if you need to vent, talk, scream, have people just listen, etc., we're all here for everyone. This is the most wonderful community people I have spoken with in my life, never a hateful word. We're all here for everyone, don't forget! RE: COVID - helping others - Charon - 02-23-2021 Masterthief: You rule. We do have people here whom are terrified or in need of knowledge. Or, whom think it is fake. So glad you are gonna help those whom write you. You have no idea how glad for you I am that you beat this monster, Masterthief. God bless and keep you and family to all heal totally and show love to those in the middle of this battle from hell. RE: COVID - helping others - IceWizard - 02-23-2021 I'm starting to see other countries using Ivermectin ... I used it for my dogs and cured heart worms... The vet I got it from said it would kill a horse bot! If it kills those things, it's some tough stuff... One African country riddled with the kung flu, ordered a bunch of it ... Totally agree MasterThief! This is a great forum curated by our moderators and admin. I've not had the virus, not unless it was asymptomatic. But my country has had several long lockdowns so it's illegal for me to see friends and family (unless you count a Zoom call). In 2021 I haven't had a single face to face conversation with a human - isn't that just so weird?! In picking up a prescription I confirmed my name and address to a pharmacist, and I think that's the limit of my real human interactions. Even deliveries of online shopping are left at my doorstep. I might manage to shout "thanks" or give a thumbs up through the glass. Not really a conversation is it? For the last year people have been in fear of this virus, stuck at home, I think it'll actually feel very strange when we can go back out again. It is deeply psychologically unhealthy for people to be isolated like this. I started doing lots of social media in the hope of staying in contact. However I found all the pics of coupled up friends baking banana cake with their kids a bit much. Doubtless they have their own fears too, but looking at all these pictures made me feel more isolated. Same as I don't really appreciate the daily messages from Google and Facebook - "look at this photo of you having fun with friends at a restaurant from 2018". Yeah, thanks for the reminder. I just cling onto the idea I will do those things again and wait for my vaccinations. I suspect the first generation of vaccines will save a lot of lives, but as the virus mutates it will get around them. The Brazilian variant sounds like it could be a problem. I guess we'll get a second gen vaccine that covers the variants. Maybe people will get a yearly shot of updated vaccine to cover new variants, rather like we do with flu. We might be wearing masks for a while yet, but if it means we can see more people then so be it... Stay safe my friends.
RE: COVID - helping others - masterthief03 - 03-13-2021 Hope everyone is well! Got my first of two pfizer vaccines recently! |
