Favorite TV shows - Pineapplepen - 09-12-2016

I am on pins and needles for Walking Dead, Chicago PD and SVU to start again.

Anyone else?

In other news at least them not being on, gives me a little more time for reading. Tongue

My favorites are Swamp People, Life Below Zero and Below Deck. I'm glued to the tv for those.

So excited to watch TWD! I am a T.V. junkie at times. LOVE Netflix too!

Because this is an anonymous forum, I have a safe space to admit I love Trashy reality TV. Like the stuff on TLC or FYI. Right now, loving Married at first sight and can't wait for the Return of 90 day fiancé. I miss Kendra on Top over on the W network. Also, sad my big fat American Gypsy Wedding season is over. Speaking of weddings, I love bride/wedding shows. All of the wedding shows, too many to list.

I also like all the drama's that normal people watch too and like to take them in binges.

Also, best comedy ever: well, the more I think it's a tie between Curb Your Enthusiasm and Trailer Park Boys. Both eagerly awaiting more seasons of. Been told Curb is a maybe and Trailer park Boys soon. Any Canadians that say, eh Trailer Park Boys isn't on anymore. Yes darlings, Netflix took over and I think the next season will be #11, that includes all the ones from Canadian TV.

My guilty pleasure is Arrow. It gets increasingly ridiculous, but Colton Haynes is very easy on the eyes Wink

I'm waiting for the next Breaking Bad or Sopranos. I enjoy Arrow, but it is trash (and it knows that too). I'm after something better written and moderately realistic. I think I've had enough of superheros at the moment! I liked "Halt and Catch Fire" because it reminded me of the early days of bulletin boards, before we had the internet. Although fictional, it is very obviously modelled on real life events. I think you need to be a bit of a geek of appreciate it.

Anyone watching some of the original series coming out of Netflix? In the summer lull we've been watching a couple really well done series: River, The Killing just to name a few.

Admittedly at this point I'm mostly watching for the dancers.   So far Rick Perry is painful to watch, and even his wife looked embarressed by his Quick Step.  Vanilla Ice. Well, at least Queen and David Bowie make money every time his stupid knock off song is played.  Holy smockers though! That chick from One Tree Hill has legs into next month and can actually dance!

Not sure David Bowie is doing so well out of that any more! But it did make me go back and listen to the original again, and also stumble across a live version with Bowie duetting with Annie Lennox after Freddie's death. As for Vanilla Ice, it is hard to think of another record that is so dependent on another. I guess MC Hammer wouldn't have had a hit without Rick James.

Back to TV... Here is another blast from the past. I've been watching Carl Sagan's Cosmos from the 80s. Great documentary.
