I think I've got the gist of this:

"Hail, Vermont" by Josephine Hovey Perry

Hail to Vermont!
Lovely Vermont!
Hail to Vermont so fearless!
Sing we a song!
Sing loud and long!
To our little state so peerless!
Green are her hills, Clear are her rills,
Fair are her lakes and rivers and valleys;
Blue are her skies, Peaceful she lies,
But when roused to a call she speedily rallies.
Hail to Vermont! Dear old Vermont!
Our love for you is great.
We cherish your name,
We laud! We acclaim!
Our own Green Mountain State.
Proud of Vermont, Lovely Vermont,
Proud of her charm and her beauty;
Proud of her name, Proud of her fame,
We're proud of her sense of duty;
Proud of her past, Proud first and last,
Proud of her lands and proud of her waters;
Her men are true. Her women, too.
We're proud of her sons and proud of her daughters.
Hail to Vermont! Dear old Vermont!
Our love for you is great.
We cherish your name,
We laud! We acclaim!
Our own Green Mountain State.

I lived in Burlington for 4 years... going to school. Beautiful state
now i know burlington is different than most of Vermont but it is still VT.

as far as Dr's in the area go, they are very reluctant to give out anything abusable
due to the "opiate epidemic" and "youth culture" of recreational use of meds

e.g. i droppers a compressed gas cylinder on my toe, which broke.
when i went to the hospital they gave me ibuprofen

But in other more rural parts the Dr's dont hesitate to give people what they need.

luckly for me my school nurse also worked at a methadone clinic so she wasnt to stingy with meds for withdrawals
or whatever ailments i had. super nice lady! wish we were still in contact.

she saved me. i was withdrawing during finals and she gave me just what i needed to sleep and function.
thanks to her i managed to get alll B's and 1 C that semester while withdrawing from b3nzos and pk's

I also lived in burlington for 4 years for school! I went to Champlain college. Vermont Burlington and Rutland have been having a serious opiate epidemic. I guess it is just like the rest of the country, so in those towns like you said getting scripts can be much harder as doctors are very worried about people abusing their meds in those cities. On a lighter note, skiing in vermont has been very good this year! Jay peak has gotten over 4feet of snow in the past 10 days!!!
