Halcion
#11
Lunesta sounds like what we have here known as zopiclone, leaves that horrid metallic taste,we don't get ambien here,I have tried it though and it helped me sleep very well.

I used to get nitaz prescribed but was still working at the time and tapered down and stopped using them.

Not heard of halcion here so doubt it is available,if it was it would probably be another they refuse to prescribe.

The z- type meds are now getting hard to get prescribed here, they get classed alongside benzos, why do these meds get made but then docs refuse to prescribe them to so many,I get mirtazapine for depression and doc said it would help with sleeping,it doesn't but has caused a bunch of bad side effects,am being tapered off them by my gp,be glad to be off them.

am being put on trazadone,I had that before and it did help me sleep,I intend to try and not use it every night though, have had enough of these modern meds that we know little of until they start to have a negative impact on our health.

Here is a new one..... so 2 months ago I was given Lyrica (of which I took my self off --that's another story for another thread). Anyway I was told that besides neuropathy lyrica is used on a regular basis for depression, anxiety and sleeping. That drug is TOXIC. And would never talk it for depression or anxiety.

Hi OR,

Lyrica was originally an anti-epileptic drug, similar to Gabapenten, Neurontin and Topamax. Today, it is commonly prescribed along with Lithium for the treatment of Bi-polar disorder. Anti-epileptic drugs, including all 4 listed above, have been historically been prescribed off-label for a variety of ailments, including the prevention of migranes, insomnia and anxiety disorders. I was prescribed Topamax (or "Dopamax" as it is often referred to because it can cause memory loss, as well as the Inability to form complete sentences and thoughts) for migraine prevention 4 years before it was approved for the treatment of migraines by the FDA. Because it suppresses the appetite and makes anything carbonated taste like metal, weight loss commonly occurs. Seizing upon this side effect, Big Pharma pounced on this "side effect" (opportunity) and today Topiramate (the generic form of Topamax) is now found in new weight loss medication called Qsymia, along with Phentermine.

Big Pharma will also find any and every way possibly to extend the life of their patents, in particular by prescribing the drugs for off label use. There is a drug called Zyprexa, which is an atypical antipsychotic used to treat schizophrenia and Bi-polar disorder. A few years ago, Zyprexa, which brought in more than $2 billion a year, and was Eli Lilly's 2nd most profitable drug (Prozac was number 1) had a patent that was about to expire, so they created a new drug by combining Zyprexa with Prozac called Symbyax to treat depression.

Just becareful with these drugs. They don't result in mult-million dollar and even billion dollar class action settlements and lawsuits for nothing. Also, the US/FDA is usually the last country/Government agency to issue what is referred to as Black Box Warnings, or side effects labeled on the drug and it's literature. You will see other countries label these drugs with these same side effects years before the FDA does.

p.s. OR, you were smart to take yourself off of Lyrica. Many people still believe that if a doctor tells them they need to take something, they will take it. Not knowing the doctor is doing what sales reps advised him or her to do or that they were somehow compensated by Big Pharma to prescribe particular drugs. I have a really good specialist, who knowing my background and knowledge of these drugs, will often ask me questions like "So, what's the latest on Gabapenten?" - and I have no medical background.  Rolleyes

Halcion / Triazolam was the first sleeping pill I was prescribed. It worked like a charm.

Then, there were stories about how people would have hallucinations and doctors stopped prescribing it. But it is still available, (FDA and Health Canada approved) if you're lucky enough to have a doctor who has had enough experience with patients who have been using it for years without problems, and feels comfortable about prescribing it.

I'm a newbe  here. I believe this thread is about who offers Halcion?

There have been three different IOP's who offered it at extremely reasonable prices.  The last surviving shop was closed in the fall of 2018. Most unfortunate.

I've done a bit of research, and I found a place who claims to offer it. I will probably try them out. I'm still much too new around here to even mention their name. Still, as there might be other IOP members who would like to find Halcion, I will report my experience, good or bad.

I never had a chance to try this medication. I have found that some of the older meds work quite well. Even better than what's currently available. I can't say that I've ever seen anyone that has it. It seems like someone like me would like to have tried some.

If it is an existing vendor here, then depending on how many posts one needs to see said vendor, u can probably post it up under their vendor thread. your experience. but u say with a well known sleep med from older days. We do not give up info in the open. Many many eyes read here.

If it is an unknown vendor, we request you put it in suggest an IOP area. It is supposed to require fifty posts. It may still. *tad bit of a glitch a couple months back* No need to mention he carries H per say. You would say something like: he may help with those with insomnia problems.

I am not sure where at the moment, but i have seen it. I cannot recall if it was offered by a reliable vendor or not. Will suggest where u all should read if i find it. Or do a PM to a couple of you.

Don't forget in the rules, it is stressed we do not equate any vendor here with a particular medicine. it makes g--gle go insane. we become the first post. So lets keep in mind, that info of a vendor cannot be US to US. Cannot be specifically mentioned in vendor thread. Just if it worked. No kidding. We are on Lockdown cuz other forums are printing every word we say.

And it should be shared via PM with other members with the required post count to see that info also.

Just read the rules a few more times. And see how we speak. Especially in these times. What is said on our forum is pasted on Other forums. So let us not give other forums nor LE anything to talk about.

So, we do rely heavily on PMs here. Don't just PM a pioneer member or senior member as many of them find that to be rude. But, you will meet people in threads. And eventually u can PM with them or check a place with me. Via PM.

I received info from several people today that other forums are still posting up our words. Especially mine. And, they are still putting up the info about our sources that we don't allow to be posted.

Just remember all. There are thousands of chronically ill. At least half just had their meds cut by their doctors. And now l e has fairly well perfected their techniques. So, not all on forums will receive meds.

So, lets not give any information to the rat bastards whom still post up every word we say. Especially in the open like this.

And, we give up no more of our sources to other places whom lost vendors by rec talk and rec activity.

Seriously only maybe half of people will obtain meds they need from doctors nor online anytime soon. It keeps getting worse is all i shall say.

So, not aimed at anyone but everyone. Watch every word u say and Be discreet in Subject Titles. They hit g--gle way before i come back on shift.

Just sayin. Every word said here is being posted elsewhere. So get in fifty posts and PM. or share said info in private areas that require at least fifty posts.

Brutal out there now. And they dont care whom they hurt of the seriously ill. Cuz they do rec talk.

We have many an insomniac here. But let us not look for a med for a fuzzy feeling. We shall be the next forum taken down.

So, yes, we are discussing halcion. But, none of the pioneer members would be so bold as to put up a thread asking for a med. Only thousands will read the answers.

So, see how we talk. We don't mention vendors openly in these threads. We learned the hard way that scum suckers steal our info cuz they were blabbermouths and their vendors went down. And many of ours.

Just all be careful. And, if its called Vit H, we are not leaving this up. Not the way things are now.

That's right, Charon. And unfortunately, the majority of people seem to have to learn things the hard way...by finding someone that carries what they need and depend on, only to see them (the vendor) disappear temporarily or permanently.

I understand the feeling of elation and wanting to share 'your' new source with many others to assist them. But what initially may seem like giving out help almost inevitably will come back, full circle, to the 'sharer's' dismay when the medicine that they depended on, NEEDED, is no longer there. Now who ya gonna blame?

If more people would read, think hard, and listen/mimic what the other veteran members say or don't say, then many fantastic vendors would probably still be operating today.

Thanks for the reminder, Charon. You are much more compassionate than I. Because if I was an amin for a board such as this, there is no doubt that I would be 'cleaning house' about every week. Not because I'm an asshole, but because I would not tolerate any leaking of information to those who have not yet EARNED the PRIVILEGE of using some of our amazing vendors. You (any young member) may think you are 'just giving out some info to ONE person', but that is naive and careless at best, malicious motivations at the worst.

To those new members reading this: Charon will give you more chances than you deserve if you happen to break the rules, even multiple times. Don't test her patience. When you disrespect her, you are disrespecting every member that adheres to these rules and act accordingly.

This was not directed at any singular poster, but rather a more broad public service message: keep it quiet!
