I enjoy this site but am very shy (even via written correspondence) and I didn't realize that I needed to be more vocal here to remain active.  I certainly don't want to lose my account.

Thank you for all of the great information.

I hope that I can contribute some day but at this point am still learning the ropes.

Many thanks again,
JJ

Hi JJ!

Welcome to this wonderful forum!

I totally get what you say, I too get periods(some long, some short) where I feel I have very little of anything of importance to add or post on here.  I guess it's a confidence/self esteem thing; so your not alone and I am sure everyone here has felt like that at times, though I also understand if you have a REAL struggle with shyness(something I had to overcome a long time ago, but it can be done! Wink

Anyway, its nice to see you've made your first post! Wasn't too painful! People aren't judgmental here, I've certainly never seen it on here anyway!

We are blessed in having the KINDEST+BEST Administrators+Mods in the biz!!  And we also have some VERY experienced members - the "Pioneer Members", they post from experience and have much knowledge as they have been doing this for a long time indeed!!

Listen to them, they are wise and they also look out for us others too! They keep us safe and keep it real - at the same time they're also a very kind and very understanding bunch of people too!!

I hope you find the confidence to post here, even if you start by just sharing a music video, or playing the "five letter game"(You'll find it in off-topic thread) - you don't have to get too deep or personal - that's up to you, but you may feel uplifted by the response you get and just how understanding and accepting people are on this forum, and I can guarantee you, that you are not the only member to feel shy or nervous about posting here; so you are not alone!

And as Furyan66 says; it's always best to read, read, read - as much s you can; at first anyway! That will give you a better understanding of things and how they work, and should make posting a little easier - you'll probably need to post at some point (in on-topic areas of the forum) - to keep your account active...

Anyways, Good luck to you! And Welcome to the family, my friend!

I too am shy about posting and staying active. I suffer social anxiety and a range of other ailments. Hope you find good health friend.
