I'm Sii have been on here awhile and I did not introduce myself. I started having back problems a few years ago with my back for the first time in my life and I had no reason too. I wasn't in a car crash or a work injury and didn't know why it was happening. Shortly afterward the back pain I felt turned into my spine burning like it was molten metal. So I went to a localy famous orthopedic group and was told that I needed two surgeries and that's I had fibromyalgia. Refusing to accept this I went to the Mayo Clinic and spent a week There. I found out I had a spinal disease that causes the vertebrae to fuse together crushing the discs one by one until the spine is a solid piece of bone. Then it goes after the shoulders hips outward to complete the body in solid bone. During this time frame I was unable to get any pain medication from the doctors up in till Mayo. It was a year of pure hell on me and my family. Luckily I found this place and was able to find medicine to help me handle the pain or I might have gave up. The pain was that severe. The cruel doctor group I saw wanted me to have two surgeries before they would help me with my pain. The Mayo Clinic told me these surgeries were pointless unless they just wanted cold hard cash. I appreciate the info on here and thank all of you for posting.
