Lord have mercy, that child can achieve anything in this life. What a glorious story.

And glad to see about the dogs. Had i had to attend a college dorm, i would have hung out with the teachers and them thar doggies. Not the drunken college students running around.

Amazing that u still find good deeds.

AUSTIN, Texas - Roger Lopez is a barber who puts his talents to work helping others.

Once a month Lopez heads beneath a freeway underpass where those who are homeless attend church and offers the men free haircuts.

Lopez says he understands their struggle better than most, since he was once addicted to drugs and homeless himself. Lopez says his friends and family helped him realize what he was passionate about and set him on the right path. Within 14 months, he was a licensed barber.

Grammy-winning singer P!nk was on tour in Australia when her maternal instincts prompted her to comfort a distraught fan.

During a performance in Brisbane, the pop singer noticed a young girl in the audience holding a sign that immediately grabbed her attention.

Quote:“My name is Leah – I’m 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mom last month. I would LOVE a hug… Please!” the sign read.

P!nk, a mother of two, did not hesitate in fulfilling the earnest request.

The 38-year-old hopped off the stage and walked right up to the grieving girl, embracing her in a full hug. After the exchange, P!nk took a selfie with the fan, who was later identified as Leah Murphy from Queensland, and autographed her arm.

“I was crying a lot and P!nk said, ‘Oh don’t cry, you look so pretty. Everything’s going to be OK.’ She was really nice. She’s really sweet,” Leah said in an interview with Yahoo!.

The teen  shared that she had planned to go to P!nk’s show with her mother, buying tickets far in advance.
Tragically, her mom, Debbie, passed away in June, leaving Leah to attend the concert without her.

Instead, Leah attended with her aunt, Katrina Donkin, who before the show tried to set up a meet-and-greet for Leah to meet P!nk.
It didn’t work out, but Leah still managed to meet her idol.

“We used to sing [her songs] always together and dance around the house,” Leah said.
“P!nk really lifted the spirits of our family so much,” Leah’s father told Yahoo!.

Leah, with the help of friends, created the signs that would eventually grab P!nk’s attention. The young fan even got some help from others attending the show.

“I had strangers in the crowd grab them off us as well and start waving them,” the girl’s aunt said. “It was just enough for P!nk to say, ‘what is that?’”

Donkin was able to capture the sweet moment on video, posting it to Facebook.
“A hug from heaven. Thanks @pink for the hug and the selfie. She hasn’t stopped smiling, skipping and singing,” she wrote.
