Did they say who they were, not I want to know who, just if they did?
Could it be a google thing? They do targeted advertising based on data they collect from your searches...Though I very much doubt thats this is the case! I wonder how on earth they associated your number with iop's?!
I did read that more than one iop was hacked/compromised and had customer data stolen a while back, maybe this is where it comes from?
Still, it is very unnerving that they have your number at all, let alone shot you a text of that nature!!
Any respectiable vendor worth their salt would surely not have the need to send marketing texts, let alone take that kind of risk!!
