seriously wonderful to hear of honesty and goodness still present on this earth. I was raised to turn in even a quarter one found on a store floor. One is to wait seven to ten days and if unclaimed, the finder can legally have it.
We did it with much larger sums as well. Thing is, the rotten people at the store itself kept the money. Even recently. I don't go out much. My houseshare does. He had my monies in his pocket. They did not know whom I am, and i heard them joking about it, when we ran back to the store. It was five hundred dollars my houseshare dropped. He knew where. The cashier confirmed the customer service counter now had his cash. He could describe it as it was in fifties and one hundreds. The cashier was shocked to hear customer service say: nope, no money found here today sir.
I thank God u had a good person to help you. It would be a nightmare to replace all the cards alone.
