Ok, I am no dream interpretation expert or anything even close to being that. So please don't read too much into anything I say about your dream or comments I make about dreams in general...
However, I do find dreams and dream interpretation very fascinating and have read about it to a degree, though I could not say I have read up on dreams enough to understand dream interpretation to any great depth.
I often have "periods", where I regularly have very vivid dreams, sometimes they are recurring dreams, I have on ocassion had the same dream even years later. Then I will go through a period where I just do not remember much about my dreams at all. Oddly(I won't go into why), I very, very rarely have nightmares, or even bad dreams, even if I'm experiencing high levels of anxiety during the day...(lol, now I've gone and wrote that, I'll probably experience one tonight! ...I'm joking of course!)
I also get periods of strong deja vu, quite often at times, again it seems to come and go in cycles(it can last a day, a week or even over a month; though not so often). Buy the same token, I also have periods where I will NOT experience deja vu at all. (sometimes this will last for a month or two, others times, maybe a year or so will go by). Then it comes again seemingly from absolutely no where, deja vu really is a very strange and fascinating sensation!
Intrestingly with deja vu for me, if I'm experiencing it very frequently (I.e.More than once a day, then it usually lasts for a much shorter period of time - just a day or maybe two).
Dreams are very personal by there nature. Is it a recurring dream you have, or just a very vivid dream you can only remember having the one time? Also, can you remember it very well, all the little details, like smells for instance? Maybe more importantly can you remember the actual feelings/emotions if any, that you experience during this dream. It may help you figure out what the dream means or is trying to tell you, what I'm trying to get at is sometimes it's your own way of expressing a suppressed emotion or maybe a situation you'd rather not think about. Very vivid dreams can often be something your are suppressing, deep in your sub-concious mind. Though I'm not suggesting that is the case with your dream.
I certainly couldn't give you any ideas as to what your dream actually means, and I certainly wouldn't even hedge a guess!
Dreams are far too personal for others to understand, especially to the point that they can tell you what they truly mean. Though I do beleave some people have a "gift", but I'm certainly not one of them. I think if you really can't let it go, and really want to know what your dream means to you, then you must find it within your own self...
However, if you can answer some of them questions, very honestly to yourself, you may end up with a better understanding as to why you are having the dream, or even what the dream truly means. Unless you have been sleeping too much, you don't just dream random meaningless stuff, and certainly not while in a state of R.E.M.(Deep Sleep). There is a very real need/reason for having dreams, sometimes there not so important, others can bring enlightenment, certainly fom my own personal experience.
It has obviously left quite a big impact on you and in your conciousness; as you have posted a thread about your dream on here!
I hope Linville is right, and the somebody he has in mind finds this post, and can shed some light on it for you. I am not special or different to any other person when it comes to dreaming, or dreams and there meaning, I just find it all so very intresting...
Though, I do hope it has nothing to do with Donald Trump!
Good luck!

Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path...
And leave a trail... of Love, Laughter and Understanding.
