Its the same over here as well,getting a place to live is getting real hard,especially for those under 25,every city has a lot of folk sleeping on the streets,tents everywhere,its getting worse all the time.
If you are under 25 you get no social security,no housing benefit to help with rent if you cannot find a job,most on the streets are young,but they'll grow old living out there,its tough,especially in winter.
At least when i was younger with no home we could find old houses to squat in,thats been made illegal now,squatting commercial buildings is still legal but it won't be for long i bet.
There are thousands of houses here lying empty,yet we have a national shortage of homes for people.
Its a total disgrace that a country with so much wealth lets folk become destitute,our government wont invest in social housing to ease the homeless problem but will take hundreds of millions of pounds of taxes to renovate the royals palace that houses a handfull of people,if you are out of work here and have a spare room they make you pay rent on a spare room,time the royals emptied out all that expensive art and treasure they have stashed and helped those in need in this country and paid there way like the rest have to do.
