All of the problems I have had with blistered product are, in fact, related to a single med. / single brand. Roche Valium manufactured in one of the stans. Sometimes the quality was good, sometimes really good, but sometimes they were bunk, and I mean the dangerous type of bunk. When bunk meds. were delivered, they were often mixed in with some good ones. When I consumed the bad ones, I would experience intense abdominal pain after taking the med.. Very strange. It could hit within a couple hours, or it could wake me in the middle of the night many hours after. There were definitely poison pills mixed into those blisters.  [My emphasis added in the quote - barq]

This is a good reason for all of us being cautious with new medicine. Taking a very small dose eg crushing a pill and taking a crumb can be a good "allergy test" (as the RC users call it). Of course this isn't suitable for time release medication, but in other cases can be possible. Also be careful with the remaining pill - crushed up it might effect you differently to whole. Just something to keep in mind for safety.

Raven, your case sounds especially unusual. Makes you wonder why a seller would mix good and bad meds together? If they were getting rid of bunk that would be one thing, but poison...! I'm afraid there is no guarantee my testing method would pick up something as random as your experience.

I'm really glad you mentioned "allergy" in your post. That may, in fact, have been what I was experiencing, an allergic reaction to whatever binder, filler... was in the med.. The vendors were located remote to the source of manufacture so they were just middle men selling whatever arrived in their shipments. A good strip here, a bunk strip there. Anything could wind up in the mix.

Finally, I used the word "poison" in my previous post. What you should take away from this is that even peanut butter is poison to some people. Certainly not manufactured to do people harm, but if it gets into the product you are consuming, and you consume that product without knowing it is in there, and you are severely allergic to peanut butter, then I consider that seemingly innocuous ingredient to be a poison.
