Yes, tryptophan convert to 5HTP and 5HTP to serotonin and melatonin.
So, whatever you can get it is good. If you get the Tryptophan take it at least 1:30 or 20 hours away from a "protein" lunch, and take it with some glucose, cause others amino acids ( Tyrosine, valine, leucine, isoleucine ) compete to enter into the brain with the Trypto, and glucose ( or any high carbs juice of meal ) make that most of this aa go to the muscle instead the brain, so less competition for tryptophan .
A good combo is Tryptophan/5ht plus GABA plus melatonin, that give me at least 4-5 hours of solid sleep.
