MoneyGram/Western Union and tor

MY experience is with both WU and MG,

I have used my real name and fake names with success (talking walkups here)
You could go the fake name routine but make sure you remember to use that same fake info every time and you need cash because your debit card would have your real name.
I went to same location before and it had the same person working there and she couldnt find my info because I would just throw out whatever came to mind.
She said she knows I am in her system because she remembered me from before. it still happened only Awkward.


Using real name and info has the advantage of refunds if you ever have a problem and eventually you will. I had to change a receiver name once with MG but it was real easy
just took my receipt back to teller and asked for a name change. Done! No id needed just receipt.

I had to get a refund once with WU and I needed my ID, thankfully I used my real name.

My experience with doing it over computer?... it has been a pain in the butt only once out of 3 attempts has it been successful. (all WU, maybe MG easier but I dont know)
they ask a ton of questions and they check out the name of receiver and see how much this receiver is receiving, flags start going up and they asked how I know this person.
You got to remember your not allowed to make purchases. so you use the whole buddy of mine routine.

If you are using a place where the receiver name never changes then you are in the best zone and I would try to  set up something online and make it more routine.
I always feel a little awkward sending money to different people all the time with names that tend to stand out with prejudice and locations all over the world.

anyway right now my way is- real name thru MG (also mg is a little cheaper and faster process via walkup)

I searched around and couldn't find this discussed anywhere. Actually I'm not sure we're supposed to discuss this at all, and in that case, mods, please delete and forgive me.

When signing up and using money transfer services like Western Union and Money gram is there any benefit to doing so using tor? They're already going to have your bank account info anyway, so would it matter?

Also, has anyone found a benefit to using their services via a walk up location over the available web based credit card option?

Lunar, this is a good topic/subject, I could have used this a couple years ago to learn the ins and outs of MG and WU.
as far as tor? I don't see an advantage.
