suggestions on pain pills

I've got degenerative, not rheumatoid. That said, my ortho surgeon put me on diclofenac. It's great. I even have a topical diclofenac gel called Voltaren. I rub it on where it hurts and I'm good to go in 5 minutes. Doesn't last long though. I do prefer the pills.
