I've heard about it for a long time but never used it. Well, for the past 10 or 15 years I've had allergy type symptoms, I often have a sneezing fit many days, I will sneeze 3 to 8 times and my nose may run for a while. I could never figure out what did it. It happened year around so is probably not hay fever.I haven't used it but any fluid in my sinuses I get major sinus infections but adding pulmicort with normal saline and a few flushes has had success. I cant stand sinus infections.
Recently it got worse, it was every day and nose running most of the day. Out of desperation I tried this and it is working. My symptoms have reduced 80 to 90% and I've only been using it a few days. No symptoms yet today. You need a special neti pot, I ordered a cheap one off ebay for a couple bucks. I've been using an eye dropper that holds a few milliliters and tilting my head to the side and squirting it in. Make sure it gets into the sinus area. You want to mix a little bit of salt with the water. They say a heaping 1/4 tsp per 8oz of water. Without the salt it will burn. They say use distilled or purified water not tap water. I never drink tap water anyway, its full of junk.
Look up neti on duckduckgo and see what you think. It should help a lot with allergy symptoms, infections and so on. Its harmless and might help a lot. I use it every day now.
