Developing:

In an address to the Russian people,

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia has the

right to use our weapons against military facilities of countries who allow their weapons

to be used against ours.

In addition,

Putin confirmed that Russia launched a new ballistic missile at a military production facility in Ukraine.

Putin said this was in response to the U S and U K letting Ukraine hit targets in Russia with advanced weapons.

Putin also warned that Russia was prepared for escalation

and hinted at the use of more advanced weapons,

including a hypersonic missile that can carry nuclear payloads

and travel at Mach 10 speeds

(a speed that he claims the US cannot intercept).

This comes after the United States and the United Kingdom gave the green light for Ukraine

to use more advanced long-range weapons inside of Russia.

Shortly after, Ukraine targeted two military facilities in Russia.

Yesterday,

the Pentagon confirmed they were not changing their nuclear posture because of threats from Russia.

It’s unclear if the United States has made any changes since Putin‘s address.
