To be fair, the South and West sides have no real grocery stores-- just bodega/convein. stores.
However, they lost grocery stores because of the looting that started with George Floyd, and the shoplifting that has been worse since Covid. No corp chains want to be near the areas.
Let's see how govt stores can do anything different. This mayor is one term for sure.
