Gwyllyn Samuel Newton "Glenn" Ford
(May 1, 1916 – August 30, 2006)

was a Canadian-American actor who often portrayed ordinary men in unusual circumstances.
Ford was most prominent during Hollywood's Golden Age as one of the biggest box-office draws
of the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, who had a career that lasted more than 50 years. Although he
played in many genres of movies, some of his most significant roles were in the film noirs
Gilda (1946) and The Big Heat (1953), and the high school angst film Blackboard Jungle (1955).
However, it was for comedies or westerns which he received acting laurels, including three
Golden Globe Nominations for Best Actor in a Comedy movie, winning for Pocketful of Miracles (1961).
He also played a supporting role as Clark Kent's adoptive father, Jonathan Kent, in Superman (1978).
Five of his films have been selected for the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being
"culturally, historically or aesthetically" significant: Gilda (1946), The Big Heat (1953),
Blackboard Jungle (1955), 3:10 to Yuma (1957) and Superman (1978). Gwyllyn Samuel Newton Ford
was born on May 1, 1916, in Sainte-Christine-d'Auvergne, Quebec,[2][3] the son of Hannah Wood
(née Mitchell) and Newton Ford, an engineer with the Canadian Pacific Railway.










Jack Harold Paar
(May 1, 1918 – January 27, 2004)

was an American talk show host, author, radio and television comedian, and film actor. He was the
second host of The Tonight Show from 1957 to 1962. Time magazine's obituary of Paar reported wryly,
"His fans would remember him as the fellow who split talk show history into two eras:
Before Paar and Below Paar."  Paar was born in 1918 in Canton, Ohio, the son of Lillian M. (Hein) and
Howard Paar. He moved with his family to Jackson, Michigan, about 40 miles (64 km) south of
Lansing, as a child. As a child, he developed a stutter, which he learned to manage. He contracted
tuberculosis when he was 14 and left school at 16.










Arthur Fleming Fazzin
(May 1, 1924 – April 25, 1995)

was an American actor and television host. He hosted the first version of the television game show
Jeopardy!, which aired on NBC from 1964 until 1975 and again from 1978 to 1979. Fleming was born
in New York City. His parents, William and Marie Fazzin, had immigrated to the United States from Austria.









Samuel Timothy McGraw
(born May 1, 1967)

is an American country singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. He has released 16 studio albums
(11 for Curb Records, four for Big Machine Records and one for Arista Nashville). 10 of those albums
have reached number one on the Top Country Albums charts, with his 1994 breakthrough album Not
a Moment Too Soon being the top country album of 1994. In total, McGraw's albums have produced
65 singles, 25 of which have reached number one on the Hot Country Songs or Country Airplay charts.
Three of these singles – "It's Your Love", "Just to See You Smile", and "Live Like You Were Dying" – were
respectively the top country songs of 1997, 1998, and 2004 according to Billboard Year-End. He has
also won three Grammy Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music awards, 11 Country Music Association (CMA)
awards, 10 American Music Awards, and three People's Choice Awards. His Soul2Soul II Tour, which
was done in partnership with his wife, Faith Hill, is one of the highest-grossing tours in country music history,
and one of the top five among all genres of music. He has sold more than 80 million records worldwide,
making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Samuel Timothy McGraw was born in
Delhi, Louisiana, the only child of Elizabeth "Betty" Ann D'Agostino, a waitress from Jacksonville, Florida,
and Frank Edwin "Tug" McGraw Jr., a pitcher for the minor league Jacksonville Suns and future star pitcher
for the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies.









Martha Jane Cannary (May 1, 1852 – August 1, 1903), better known as Calamity Jane, was an American
frontierswoman, sharpshooter, and storyteller. In addition to many exploits she was known for being an
acquaintance of Wild Bill Hickok. Late in her life, she appeared in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show and at the
1901 Pan-American Exposition. She is said to have exhibited compassion to others, especially to the sick
and needy. This facet of her character contrasted with her daredevil ways and helped to make her a noted
frontier figure. She was also known for her habit of wearing men's attire. Calamity Jane was born on May 1, 1852,
as Martha Jane Canary (or Cannary) in Princeton, within Mercer County, Missouri.









Louis Nye
(May 1, 1913 – October 9, 2005)

was an American comedic actor. He was an entertainer to the troops during World War II and is best known
for his work on countless television, film and radio programs. He was born Louis Neistat in Hartford, Connecticut,
son of Joseph Neistat and Jennie Sherman. His sister Rose Neistat was born in 1917. Although Nye, who
pronounced his given name as Louie, later claimed he was born in 1922, he is listed as age six in the 1920
Hartford County, Connecticut, Federal Census. Nye's parents were both Yiddish speaking Jews from the
Russian Empire.

Bachman–Turner Overdrive.









Paul John Teutul
(born May 1, 1949)

is the founder of Orange County Choppers, a manufacturer of custom motorcycles and the focus of the
reality television series American Chopper. Teutul first appeared on the show with his sons Paul Teutul Jr.
and Michael Teutul. In 2013, his new show Orange County Choppers premiered on CMT. Teutul was born
in Yonkers, New York and grew up in Pearl River, New York. He sailed as a member of the
United States Merchant Marine during the Vietnam War.









Marilyn Milian
(born May 1, 1961),

better known as Judge Milian, is an American television personality, lecturer, and retired Florida Circuit Court
judge. Since March 12, 2001, Milian has presided over the long-running American courtroom television series
The People's Court, replacing Jerry Sheindlin, and has been with the program ever since. Milian is the first
Hispanic arbitrator to preside over a court show and during The People's Court's 2012-2013 season she became
the show's longest-serving judge, surpassing Joseph Wapner, the show's inaugural jurist. Milian was born in
Manhattan to Cuban parents Jorge, a general contractor, and Georgina Milian. She spoke Spanish before
learning English and is fluent in both languages. The family moved from Astoria, Queens, to Miami when
she was eight years old.










Johnny Colt
(born Charles Brandt; May 1, 1966)

is an American bass guitar player who formerly played with the southern rock bands Lynyrd Skynyrd
and The Black Crowes. From 1989 he was the original bassist for The Black Crowes which formed in
Atlanta, Georgia. Colt played on four full-length albums with the band and toured extensively. After
leaving the Black Crowes in 1997 he went on to form the Brand New Immortals with guitarist
David Ryan Harris and drummer Kenny Cresswell. Colt played bass for the American modern rock band
Train from 2003–2006. In addition he joined Tommy Lee, becoming the permanent replacement for
Jason Newsted (formerly of Metallica) in the band Rock Star Supernova. Colt has made numerous DJ
performances with Tommy Lee, Rob Wonder and DJ MB3. In 2012, he joined Lynyrd Skynyrd as their
new bassist before departing from the band in 2017.
