Melatonin supplements mixed with other calming agents seems to really hit the spot when I'm trying to not take benz@s every day.
Melatonin 3mg with valerian and L-theanine 30 minutes before I intend to sleep makes me very drowsy, and I actually fall asleep easily without getting the feeling that I neeeed my medication. It's refreshing to do this at least once a week.
