I generally think prescription pain killers make life *worse* for people with long term, chronic pain. I am interested in whether anyone here has success with accupuncture or hypnosis, and how much it cost them for those treatments.
Welcome to the community here, Everyone here is very very helpful, what you need to understand is that when it comes to chronic pain, everyone bodies is completely different. Prices vary on location/depending on what services you actually require and what work for you. I have heard positive things regarding acupuncture, but it all depends and once you stop treatment the pain usually comes back, that being said I highly suggest you do a few phone calls and perhaps can cross reference your own research.
I suffer from chronic pain in my back and neck (from a snowboarding injury) -- massages, physio, etc helps but is very temporary per the price.
from my experience i typically had to go through this, The acupuncturist typically inserts four to 10 needles and leaves them in place for 10 to 30 minutes while you rest. A usual course of treatment includes six to 12 sessions over a three-month period.
It did help, but once again once stopped slowly the pain returned. I really understand now that the body is a difficult thing to comprehend.
Again , Welcome to the community!
