Never ever buy K at a gas station, liquor store etc. especially the concentrated versions. There are good vendors online and the AKA (American Kratom Ass.) is pushing to keep it legal, while also cracking down on vendors selling adulterated (w/real opioids) Kratom. It's extremely rare that anyone would die due to K alone, maybe if you had multiple highly concentrated shots of it all day long. It would be nearly impossible to consume too much, in it's natural state, because you would throw up. Like most things, moderation is the key and it does have it's place.
The gov needs another bogey man herb and big pharma doesn't want the competition. IMO it's that simple.
