As i continued thinking about it after my post and then I read your post again Charon it gave me a thought,
Perhaps each generation is inheriting a personality trait, or "disorder" which was already caused by a lifelong use of the previous medication that adapts in the new generation and causes them to be genetically predisposed to what the doctors end up describing as a different form of learning disorder or some form of mental health issue and eventually treat with a newly discovered and often viciously harmful pharmaceutical in its own right.
I know big pharma isn't so evil that they have been secretly controlling mental development over decades so they can continue making money. But i still feel as if its morally wrong that anybody at all ends up making money off anothers struggles.
I dunno, im not 100% sure how to feel on this one. Its a dangerous cycle that is gonna be pretty darn tough to break.
