In other news at least them not being on, gives me a little more time for reading.

Omg I'm OBSESSED with TWD!!! Have been counting down the days till it returns and am SO EXCITED for Sunday!!! :

Also like AHS (but did NOT like season 6!), Humans, The Returned, The 4400, Lost (best show ever), and one of my faves is Stranger Things!

Also enjoy Bates Motel, Fear TWD (to feed my TWD addition when it's not on), Hemlock Grove, and like a million of those true crime shows on ID lol. I usually only like horror stuff but also enjoy sci-fi and comedy.

Sorry got some key dates; Better Call Saul is April 17, and saw THE FIRST PROMO FOR NEW CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM first new seasion in 5 years. Sat what you want, but comedy is set for a golden age....

Have y'all been watching "The Killing Fields" on Discovery ...

Man that Rodie Sanchez is one heck of a guy...

Rodie is one son of a gun I'd hate to have on my bad side... But seems to be a good guy none the less... I myself have been through Iberville Parish La more times than I can count...

I am a TV junkie! I binge watch everything but my favorite are sit-coms and whatever decent shows I can find on Netflix ? I'm running out of shows to watch though if anyone has any comedies they want to recommend! I'm catching up on TWD right now cause I took a break ( I couldn't really watch scary shows before). My current sit-coms I'm hooked on are shameless and new girl

Lord have mercy I have studied the killing fields for years. They even moved both Detective Kendra and Killing Fields to the regular history channel of late.

i basically only watch Investigation ID on my own. When houseshare gets home, we then watch gold rush, history shows and car shows. (He does auto body work.)

I even sleep listening to Investigation Discovery.

I have seen so many shows on the Killing Fields. I wonder if the families are happy that there is renewed interest in the serial killer or serial killers whom killed all those poor young girls on Interstate whatever.

We were so stupid when we were young. My best friend and I hitch hiked. We thought, being 14 or 15, that if only two adult men offered to drive us, then, we could take them. I now know the value of a gun, among other weapons. And, that a third man could have been in the vehicle on the ground.

I really put God and His angels on the run during my youth. I was trapped in so many serious attacks, from which i miraculously escaped, that I feel I have more people to help.

I was the wild child and i had no fear. Now, having lived in an estate and working in the Bronx, I surely learned to carry weaponry. Even when i go for the mail. Mace and a switchblade can never hurt. Not me, anyhoo.

I do hope some friggin DNA gets in the national database and they can bring some answers to all those young women killed in that area and dumped like trash.

He is a good investigator.

IH-10 most likely... There's places around Texas City that are just as "marshy" as some of the Bayous in La and there have been beaucoup folks put out in it...

I used to hitch I-10 to go to Galveston and Crystal Beach .. There was a man named Dean Corell that got these two younger guys, well they were my age at the time, one was Elmer Wayne Henely... They picked up hitchers and lured them with the promise of drugz... They brought them to Dean and he would get them "knocked out" and when the woke, they were strapped to a sheet of plywood and well .... He did his thing , killed them and buried them in a Baytown boat shed and in the dunes on McFadden beach ....

Glad I never run across them guys... Can't remember Elmer's partener in crime, but he did it as well....

Ahhhh the 60's/70's ... Don't ya miss em ...

as a hippy during those years, albeit one planning on becoming an attorney, i really believed that peace love and understanding would work. That we could make the world so much better.

Frankly, the way Investigation Discovery is written, I can listen to the tales and not have to watch. Some are way too gruesome and frightening.

The ole truck drivers gone for weeks probably did many of those crimes. Some of them were even married and their wives never knew. (The BTK: the Bondage Torture Killer as he named himself.)

i lived in a small prestigious town and if we went jogging at five am, the cops came rite up to us to tell us go back home. Very protective area so I had no idea so many horrors were going on.

It amazes me how many cold case cops are solving cases now. Some after thirty years. Of course, I do believe the bad guys will undergo Judgment from God.

My sister and I both watch these shows as we taught our kids what to watch out for. Anything I did: don't do it. And, then we all learned about Ted Bundy. How he used the natural maternal kindness of most females to lure them to doom. We realized then that one cannot tell by looks that another is absolutely bonkers and planning to kill you that nite.

Scary stuff.

But, tonite is Gold Rush. No killing there. Whew.

Charon, am curious are you for or against the death pentalty?

i am not opposed to the death penalty. it would depend on the crimes or crimes.

It is because i know that sexual predators, particularly of children, and serial killers, cannot be cured. Never ever.

I have seen and read of too much evil out there. One can be forgiven, but one must still pay a penalty to society. To the families of decedent. humble opinion. based on so many telling me that the death of the perp gave them a lot of closure.

I sure would never have let myself get involved in a death penalty case. Way too much at stake.

Twenty years ago? I was opposed to the death penalty. But, there is clearly evil in this world. And, if their death gives comfort to the surviving family? Then I would allow the family the right to see perp executed.

It still horrifies me a bit. But, I listen to the family and their peace convinces me that perhaps it was the correct decision.

Usually though, I feel the perpetrator is dying far more easier than he let the poor five yr old girl he raped and tortured and killed. A case I was appointed to. For example. If one follows the autopsies, one knows how much the victim suffered.

I won't promote death penalty. But, if a state has it in motion now, I have often wondered why some scum were not sentenced to same.

Confusing enough? Because I do take life so seriously. It could be born of an eye for an eye mentality i grew up with.

Death penalty.... Quick end to a case,,,, BUT if they had to spend the rest of their lives in that prison, every day is a living hell...

I know we have to feed them, clothe them, and medical, but at minimum... They may still be alive, but they don"t have a life...

After 50, 60, years, I'd almost bet they wished they hadn't done whatever it was to be where they are then,,,,

Dying is too quick... I want them to really pay for it ....

Having said that, if they would slack off on the petty crap, we'd have more places to keep them longer... Who knows, you might want to throw in a little "water boarding"

I also watch Dance Moms lol. I used to take dance so I guess that's why I like it lol. Just started watching Ghosts In The Hood too which is HILARIOUS!
