gotcha!

i'm a little hyperactive about my words being misinterpreted. i once belonged to a forum for people with chronic illnesses and replied to someone's post and it was misread/misunderstood by a few people (my fault for assuming that everyone would understand what i was saying due to certain punctuation... Dodgy ) and literally, within like, 25 minutes, i had an entire board full of people turned against me. it was kind of shocking and was my first (and really only) brush with "online bullying"/mob mentality -- people were saying some truly mean things. all because of a misinterpretation of a simple post. it's sort of scarred me!

okay, anna, we don't do that here. if it starts to happen either me or the staff or the senior and pioneer members will alert the staff. stop the nonsense.

i did forums for chronically ill for many a year. what people confided to me the most was the pain of being flamed by strangers on a forum when they tried to speak.

it keeps nice people from posting. it leads to trauma.

so, our rules mandate that anyone whom flames another will be warned, or banned on the spot.

u will be safe here. that is why we are so family oriented.

i want u all to feel safe. to know u can post and won't be harassed.

As Popster was saying, we need to stock pile when we can. You cannot predict when a vendor will disappear, a LL will appear, other country holidays or mail issues cause delays, weather will cause delays or our lovely postal system will, lose, miss deliver or return to sender your registered mail because your postal person is too lazy to leave one of those colored slips letting you know they tried to deliver.

In my humble opinion, if you are a daily user, if you can slowly put together the funds to get to a 3 month  surplus supply, that you keep some where that is not a temptation for you, you should be prepared for the worst. It may take you awhile, but it could save you a lot of stress and/or your life.

Juse my opinion,R.

Popster, much as I love him, isn't the only senior citizen on this forum - I think we "experienced" IOP users have two rules of thumb: 1) Always keep enough on hand to weather a storm, and 2) Always have a backup vendor.

I really feel badly for those whose sole supplier was one of the two who have been having such issues of late, but old age and deceit defeat youth and strength every time...Take Popster's advice to heart and build up a quantity of at LEAST 90 days worth of the dosage you need of the medications you need - And take wise Zander's and my advice and have a backup vendor in your pocket.  It can be costly, yes (many are the overtime hours I've worked to build my emergency supplies), but costly beats suffering in my book any day.

Best,

Damn! B2G, CHARON, POPSTER, MRCHUCKEY, ICEWIZZARD, ZANDER, HOLLYWOOD JIMBO AND ALL YOU OTHER REGULAR POSTERS, I love you guys so much, we have such an awesome network of what to me feels almost lke famly more than just a forum about IOPS. We all help eachother out and try to show the utmost respect to one another. Thats why I am a proud 1st gen member and been here since the begnning because soon as I joned the positve vibes from most people were just so good I couldnt even want to belong to another forum. IOPLST.ORG "Where fellow OP customers can always make the best out of a bad situation because they are some of the best people n this scene or things we call IOP's. You guys all rock and 'm proud to know you all.

do also agree that askng members to straght up SEND YOU MEDS cuz you are detoxing and going through W/D'S s NOT COOL. We have vendors for a reason, and when you start gettng to know everyone better by postng more and giving good info to others, you wll get 50 posts and fnd some other TOP NOTCH vendors that some of us purchase from more than we do from the vendors in the public section. Just take your time, get to know everyone and good things wll happen. mght sound like m preaching or being all holier than thou but am just speaking my mnd and am sure that most will agree with some of the things i just stated. We wanna keep this board going and have our vendors come here happy to see things we post and know thatwe arent just blasting out every sngle tactc or move or badmouthing them or just sabotaging the possibilty of keeping them around for the years to come that we rely on them.

Always always have a backup, or in all honesty 2 backups. We all know what it is like to be without the medicine our body needs to function and it is horrible. I know it sounds easier said than done but as long as you always have a 2 week supply you will never be without because at least 1/3 if not all vendors will come through in less than two weeks. Some one I know just got a letter in 5 days... All I am saying is diversify a little even if you believe you have the best vendor out there.
