I've just been trying to make an order (UKheal) I got as far as placing the order on the website then to whatsapp for details to complete. They then asked me to send them some ID. driving license or passport, which totally weirded me out. So i said "I'll get back to you" as that's something thats never been asked of me before, ever... I'm not on the other place so I don't know what they're saying about it. Is this normal? to me it's not! I don't like the idea of these people having my bank acc details and a copy of my ID. Any thoughts?

Well I've been looking at them and was about to try a test order but thanks to your warning I'll hold off a bit. I wouldn't happily give out my ID. I think you have every right to ask a) why they need ID, and b) how they intend to use it? My guess is the ID could either be for identity fraud, or possibly for them to create a (false) paper trail so their prescriptions look more legit. They claim to be in the UK so are subject to GDPR and other data collection laws i.e. they musn't hold any unnecessary personal info and for no longer than essential. It seems weird because if they have legit doctors (who might want ID) then they wouldn't behave like an IOP. However, if they are a regular IOP then they wouldn't care who you were. It doesn't add up to me... Have you made a payment (don't mention how - forum rules)? "Why do you need my ID?", seems a fair question, but of course you risk them dumping you as a customer. Who else has actually dealt with them? Names I trust seem to have had a better experience.

Yes I was really shocked. Talk about red flags, the alarms were barring out by that point. They are not are not a legit registered distributor in anyway. just someone hiding on whatsapp. My first thought and still my only thought is this is an id scam, they might have product now but there's a bigger game at play. Think about it, they will have your details, bank acc, photo ID, phone number (which they can clone the sim) What more could a scammer as for. It's not a risk I'm prepared to take.

This is how it seems to be done now showing I-D,as long as they can see your name and face, some edit out bits.
I managed to get a reply and order a couple of things, being processed now, you'll get updates by email if you are registered with them. I was worried as it was another new vendor I hadnt used,I will update when it arrives in next few days hopefully.
Mind the Gap Please.

OK thanks that would be great if you can update me please, because I might have to use them if I get desperate. I still don't get the logic behind it and it definitely feels iffy, the general rule is, the less private info the better for all involved. Hope everything goes well for you.
