I’ve never been a real fan of Stewart, but I have the utmost respect for him after watching this last week. This speech transcends partisanship and truly speaks to the American soul. Fantastic.

Unbelievable. Rand Paul is grandstanding to stay relevant. Yes, the things he mentions definitely need to be looked at, but you don't hold up passing such an important issue so Govt run TV give him 12 minutes to show how uninformed HE is. Jon Stewart used his star power to go in front of Congress and make sure that 9/11 first responders got their time, and received enough national media attention to get the help they need.  Perhaps if a plane would have destroyed government buildings in Frankfort, Kentucky and in the process confederate flags burned, he might show some insight and empathy.

Btw, Jon Stewart has always been vocal about his distaste for Fox News, but he went on and was very respectful. He has proven this fight has never been about him.  Unlike Rand Paul who got in a fight with his neighbor about cutting grass over a property line and won the money Jon Stewart talks about early in this clip. He won in a civil suit.  
I have friends whose firehouse is 4 blocks away from the old World Trade Center. Thank God all my friends were safe, but they lost 15 guys from their house. Now, 2 of my friends are sick from that day and the months of clean up. One has cancer and not not enough time left to be with family. Rand Paul should be absolutely ashamed of himself,
