My sister was/ probably still is a big shot doctor in NYC. Radiology. She got all techs to wear protection that covered their thyroids and chests. But, I never heard of this. I would go in with me mother so she could hear me pray and not feel like she was in a Video game. Nothing has become safe.

An MRI scan turned tragic when a patient’s relative was sucked up into the machine and died, according to police in India.
Rajesh Maru was visiting an unidentified family member at the Nair Hospital in Mumbai, and authorities said he carried an oxygen tank into the room with the magnetic resonance imaging scanner on Saturday.
Maru, 32, was pulled towards the machine through magnetic force, and preliminary reports in Indian media said that he died from ingesting liquid oxygen that sprung from the ruptured tank.

A doctor and two attendants at the hospital have been arrested on suspicion of causing the death through negligence, after Maru was reportedly told it was safe to enter the room.

The hospital’s dean Ramesh Bharmal told the Agence France Presse that CCTV footage was given to investigators.
