Afghan Accused of Plotting Election Day Terrorist Attack Worked for CIA: Report
Resist the Mainstream previously reported that federal authorities have arrested an Afghan national who allegedly plotted an
I SIS-inspired terrorist attack targeting U S Election Day.
The suspect, identified as Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi,
previously worked as a security guard for the C I A in Afghanistan before entering America in September 2021
following the withdrawal of American forces.
This shocking development raises serious questions about refugee vetting procedures.
F B I agents apprehended Tawhedi in Oklahoma City on Monday after an undercover operation involving a confidential human source
who infiltrated his communication network.
N B C News Justice and Intelligence Correspondent Ken Dilanian reported,
The alleged Afghan terrorist charged this week worked as a security guard for the C I A in Afghanistan.
The F B I is investigating whether he was radicalized before or after he came here in 2021 on humanitarian parole–
a month after the chaotic U S military withdrawal.
Court documents reveal disturbing details of his alleged plot,
including the purchase of two Kalashnikov rifles and an order for 500 rounds of ammunition.
C B S News reported that in encrypted messages sent via Telegram,
Tawhedi reportedly discussed his preparations.
He asked co-conspirators about the adequacy of his arsenal.

he wrote, according to evidence cited by prosecutors.
The suspect’s plans apparently hinged on the sale of his father-in-law’s house for $185,000,
with funds expected by October 15.
Investigators discovered Tawhedi had purchased one-way plane tickets to Kabul for his family members,
scheduled for October 17.
In subsequent communications,
he ominously declared,
After that we will begin our duty,
God willing, with the help of God,
we will get ready for the election day.
Tawhedi entered the United States on a Special Immigrant Visa as part of the mass evacuation of Afghans following the American
military withdrawal in 2021,

An Inspector General report from September 2022 exposed significant lapses in the vetting process for
Afghan refugees during this period.
The Taliban reportedly played a role in the selection of evacuees,
while many Afghans with proper documentation were left behind.

Tawhedi was among millions of foreign nationals allowed into the country during a period when standard vetting procedures
