It will no doubt be a week, if not two, before I am able to avail myself of an IOP's services (I am already getting "zaps" in my brain, a classic sign of impending seizure), so forgive me if I do post five times daily until I'm able to join the ranks of you who have access to friends down South who deliver quickly, I don't think I will have the luxury of waiting for magazines that may take a month to arrive due to the holiday mail volume.
In any event, if you spared a thought for me, I'm eternally grateful, especially to IceWizard and Charon, who provided kind guidance regarding the five post rule, and have been more than welcoming to a newcomer.
Happy day after Thanksgiving my new friends, I hope yours was as uplifting as mine.
Glad to hear that small blessings came your way. There are many quality vendors here for the specific products you need. Am I correct in assuming that you had to quit cold-turkey after 15 years due to losing coverage? That is unbelievable!

It's worse than that, actually. My psychiatrist of 15 years changed his policy on prescribing benz@s while I was still covered in early September, and despite my practically begging him to look up the Ashton method for tapering, and even faxing him a copy of it the day after the appointment when he informed me he wouldn't be writing for the 3mg @lpraz / day any longer. His suggestion? Use the tabs you have left from your last refill and taper using those. The man would not even give me a referral to another psychiatrist, and just two weeks later I was laid off, making a new doctor search impossible (my PCP won't even see patients without insurance). That I had a massive seizure in public at the end of September is absolutely no surprise, considering how long (17 years in total) I had been prescribed @lpraz...But beggars can't afford malpractice suits, nor can they purchase enough IOP V@ls quickly enough to Ashton it out on their own.
I'm quite honestly not averse to quitting @lps, what I'm averse to is repeat seizures, and the symptoms for them are marked enough to scare the dickens out of me when they manifest. I'm hoping to get g@b@pentin from the attending neurologist who saw after me in the ICU after September's seizure on Monday, that will at least (theoretically) reduce the risk of repeat seizures, but if I can't manage that, I don't know what I'll do, other than join the long, long line of victims of the war on drugs your neighbor.
