It is not uncommon in Parkinsons patients and former stimulant addicts/people who have treated their adhd pharmaceutically for a long time. It just doesnt seem to be addressed and people suffer in silence RE: Newby - Charon - 11-05-2022 I should research this another day. A close relative of mine has Parkinsons. somewhat recently dx'd. When I was told i am disabled, with seven autoimmunes, parkinson being one of them, i was told no hope of recovery. So i have never had treatment. But now that my relative is dealing with this, I shall look it up. I wish Parkinsons on no one but i do hope you have some people with knowledge on same. RE: Newby - TrayGold - 11-05-2022 Welcome Research1. Looking forward to your posts. You're right, there isn't alit of discussion about it on forums. Hopefully some members can share info about it. Couple it with how it affects addiction and recidivism rates in m3th addicts because no one thinks to treat the neurochemical damage that is done, it is easy to go down the rabbit hole. There is so much hope for many of these people that feel hopeless but our healthcare system is archaic and rarely looks outside the box. Charon, I hope you are living well amid your diagnoses. Funny how we fervantly pursue answers for those we love but not as often ourselves lol. RE: Newby - Apple - 11-19-2022 Greetings Research 1, I am new here as well. I was reading your post and I found it very interesting. Fortunately I don't have a loved one with Parkinsons, however I do have 2 very close and lifelong friends who for some reason, independent of each other, became m3th fiends in their 40's with success on both the professional and family fronts. It has been as difficult to watch as losing a parent. Both are addressing the problem, both have been in repeated rehab programs. I remember my friend telling me last summer that everything just seemed "flat and boring" when she was sober now. Both of my friends are parents and truly love their families deeply, but both struggle to stay clean long term. I hope you find help for your loved ones Research 1, I would also be interested in any developments. I can't think of a worse Hell than watching loved ones struggling and being unable to assist. |
