I don't know why you need it of course but if it's for "tummy" problems while travelling, it's the best choice for SE Asia. Elsewhere, (eg Africa, Caribbean) Cipro is likely number one.

Still on the topic of Zithromax, does anyone know if it is available over the counter in Mexico to tourists? I remember, (maybe 10 years ago?) buying a z-pak at the Cancun airport. That was before all the super-duper heightened screening went into effect.

We stayed at a resort in Cancun last fall where I went to the local pharmacy just to look around and the pharmacist came up to me and basically told me anything i wanted was available for a price just ask ....I didn't get anything tho.
